Wholesale boxwood and bamboo combs
A wooden comb is a plastic comb without the static. We make them in two main materials, boxwood and bamboo, from wide tooth to fine tooth and from baby size to the barber series.
Boxwood against bamboo
Boxwood is a hard, close grained wood. The teeth can be cut fine, it resists breaking and it takes on a shine with use. It is the traditional comb material: high perceived quality, and priced accordingly.
Bamboo is technically a grass, not a tree. Because it is a fast renewing resource, brands with a sustainability story choose it. Lighter and better priced, but not as suited to fine tooth work as boxwood.
The tooth spacing makes the product
Wide tooth combs are for wet and thick hair; they release tangles without pulling. Fine tooth is for fine hair, beards and styling. The same body can be cut in two spacings, and we suggest carrying both when you build a range.
The finish on the tooth tips matters. A tip left sharp scratches the scalp, so every one is hand sanded and rounded. Run a finger between the teeth of the sample; nothing should catch.
A comb is the best surface we mark
A comb has a flat, wide face, and laser marking comes out cleanest there. Because the area is larger than a brush body, a line of text or a model name fits beside the logo.
That matters most in the barber and salon series: salons have combs made under their own name and hand them to customers. Our 50 piece minimum means a single salon can do it.

Common questions
Boxwood or bamboo?
Boxwood if perceived quality and durability come first. Bamboo if the sustainability story and cost come first. We send both in the sample.
Does a wooden comb cause static?
No, that is the clearest difference from plastic. It does not build static, which is why it is preferred for fine and frizz prone hair.
How is a logo applied?
Laser burned into the wood. The flat face of a comb is wide, so the logo comes out cleaner than on a brush and a model name fits alongside it.
Is 50 pieces too few for our salon?
In this trade the private label minimum is usually 500 to 1000. We keep ours at 50, so a single salon can have combs made under its own name.
